Production Notes
2017 represents the first vintage we harvested Malbec grapes from Scott’s Vineyard for full-color red wine. The wine itself is a complete and delicious wine starting with lots of fruit, a soft middle of the palate and a pinch of white pepper and dill in support. Overall, the Scott’s Malbec was such a complete wine, it served as a great base for our 2017 offering.
Winemaker Notes
The 2017 Grand Valley Malbec displays a great balance of concentrated dark fruits and fresh red fruit with a touch of fresh rose petal and a crack of white pepper. On the palate, the wine delivers layers of juicy red fruit notes with subtle but present tannins and some vibrancy from the acidity. There is a touch of oak which gives some warm toasty notes but also adds a little structure to the wine on the palate.
Food Pairing Notes
• Tomato and blue cheese salad, Grilled Halibut with grilled pineapple & sweet corn salsa, Seared peppercorn flank steak, charcuterie, rich cheeses burgers, and beef burritos.

We had this wine at the Wine Country Inn and thought it was excellent. We like Argentine malbecs but this is even better
