An intensely complex wine harvested in late November from the Riverside Vineyards at Colterris. It’s slight amber color is bright with candied peach, lime peel and honey on the palate. Enjoy aromatic fresh notes of pear, stone fruits, and spice. A delightful complement to crème brûlée, fruit pastries and rich cheeses.
100% Cliffside Vineyard Pinot Gris, Clone 146, Planted 2003
The weather patterns in the fall of 2016 allowed us to leave a few rows
of Pinot Gris in our Cliffside Vineyard for our first ever late harvest wine.
These over-ripened grapes were harvested early in the morning on
November 3rd and yielded just a few hundred gallons of liquid nectar.
These grapes had 312 g/L of intensely concentrated natural sugars at
harvest and fermentation was stopped at 80 g/L. This luscious wine has a
delicate sweet softness that is balanced with a pleasantly clean finish.
