COLORADO GOVERNOR'S CUP DOUBLE GOLD WINNER!

Our 2016 Petit Verdot presents a complex aroma of raspberry, dark chocolate, and plum preserves.  On the palate, this wine offers more dark chocolate and concentrated fruit notes with beautifully balanced tannins and a lift of acidity.  Well integrated oak imparts roasted
espresso bean flavors adding elegance and roundness to the finish.

Production Notes
The 2016 vintage Colterris Petit Verdot is our inaugural release of this wine. The wine displays an elegance not commonly found in Petit Verdot which may be attributed to the mature vines from which most of this wine comes. At 25 years old, these are among the oldest vines we have at Colterris and are a testament to what is possible in Colorado viticulture when proper site and varietal selection are met with superior vineyard management.
