This is our third release of this exceptionally unique wine. It is gently pressed from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on East Orchard Mesa south of Palisade located in Colorado's beautiful and picturesque Western Slope. Situated in the heart of the Grand Valley AVA, this unique vineyard site at 4,800 feet in elevation is protected by the foothills of the Grand Mesa immediately to the south and east and by close proximity to the Colorado River directly to the north and west. This combination of high altitude sunlight and cool river nights produce distinctively luscious Vitis vinifera grapes which produce bold wines, rich in color, flavor and smooth tannins.
The 2015 Colterris Coral White Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Theresa’s Vineyard located on East Orchard Mesa in the heart of the Grand Valley AVA. The grapes were harvested on October 8, 2015 with comparatively lower sugar levels, then pressed immediately to separate the white juice from the skins. 1203 cases were bottled in Aprl 2015 and the wine has 12.3% alcohol, pH 3.31, TA of (titratable acidity) 6.8 g/L and the residual sugar is 6.1 g/L (approx. 6/10th of 1%). It is finished in a dry style and is excellent as an aperitif or picnic wine, balanced with delicate floral notes and reminiscent of refreshing red summer fruits. Best served chilled
